Political History
Alagbaoso was elected into the Federal House of Representatives in 2011, to represent Orlu/Oru East/Orsu Federal Constituency, on the platform of People’s Democratic Party. He has retained this position since then.
From 2011 to 2015 he served in the following committees; Media and Public Affairs, Education (Basic & Secondary), Diaspora Matters, Customs and Excise, Commerce, Special Duties, and Banking & Currency.
Upon his re-election in 2015, he was appointed the Chairman of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency Committee.
In April 2022, he officially declared his intention to contest for the senatorial seat of Imo West Senatorial District in the 2023 elections.
He will be resigning from his position as the representive of the Oru East/Orsu/Orlu constituency in the upcoming 2023 election.
