Mai Mala Buni (born 11 November 1967), Nigeria) is a Nigerian politician. He is the current governor of Yobe State, Nigeria and the caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress. He was elected governor during the 2019 Nigeria general elections under All Progressives Congress (APC) party. Before being elected governor, he was the national secretary of the All Progressives Congress
Personal Life
Mai Mala Buni got married to his third wife, Ummi Adama Gaidam a day after he took the oath of office as the executive governor of Yobe State. Ummi Adama is the daughter of the immediate-past governor of Yobe State, Ibrahim Gaidam and was studying at Saudi Arabia during the period.

Not much is known about his educational background, but he is a seasoned carrier businessman and politician who served in his state and nation at various capacities before contesting in the 2019 gubernatorial election in Yobe State.
